Groundswell (2018)
We owe our entire existence on this planet to six inches of top-soil and the fact that it rains. There are more living creatures in a handful of soil than humans on the planet. But we’re running out of soil. We’ve lost 40% of arable land worldwide in the last 45 years. Luckily there is a solution…a quiet revolution with farmers working together to find a way to produce healthy food while regenerating the soil.
Film-maker Fiona Cunningham-Reid’s documentary about the pioneering Cherry family farm in Hertfordshire, follows the family’s awakening to no-till agriculture, and establishing the largest regenerative farming event in the UK.
